About Me:
She is the CEO / Founder of the Bakersfield Black American History Parade Committee. After working for 30 years for the County of Kern and raising her children, she’s committed to her community. Her primary focus has been service to GOD through leadership in the ministry by chairing the Church Bereavement Committee Auxiliary by faith at Church of Christ Christian Ministries Administration and as a Board of Director. Her commitment also in service extends 47 years through her sisterhood as a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. presently with the Epsilon Chi Sigma Chapter of the Antelope Valley. She currently serves as the Graduate Chapter Anti-Grammateus and chapter Chaplin. She has served as an Administrator and on the Board of Directors for several Youth Group Homes across Kern County. Gloria has a passion for serving her community and proficiency in creating events to ensure youth of the city get access to the resources they need to thrive in society and well into adulthood.
