Building a Better Bakersfield: Charmed & Chosen’s Impact on the Community

Each month, Studio 17’s underwriting sponsor, Dignity Health, partners with a local nonprofit to highlight the impactful work they’re doing in the community. This month, the spotlight is on Charmed & Chosen Inc., an organization dedicated to empowering individuals and creating positive change.

Lashaka Pleasant-Davis, President and Founder of Charmed & Chosen Inc., joined Studio 17 to discuss the organization’s initiatives and how it is making a difference in Bakersfield. One key focus is the opening of the C&C Empowerment Center, which has had a significant impact on the community by offering a safe space for individuals to receive support, mentorship, and resources that foster growth and development.

Charmed & Chosen Inc. is also actively planning upcoming events to further their mission, offering more opportunities for the community to get involved. The concept of Community Unity is central to the organization’s values, as they strive to bring people together to support one another and build a stronger community.

The C&C Empowerment Center provides various resources, including mentorship programs, educational support, and wellness services, aimed at addressing the needs of individuals and families.
